Default Finally boost per mph for street, off front wheel!

Wanted to say thanks to Joe Oplawski for working with me on his hyperkontrol boost controller, it's running off a FRONT wheel speed sensor so I have true boost per mph. It is adjustable down to every mph, plus prelaunch and launch, PLUS zoom/reduce buttons that will add set amount or reduce set amount over the curve of the run.

Great thing is if the car spins on the street it won't gain mph and won't add boost like other controllers that go off the rear wheels!

I've been 10.25 at 142mph on pure street tires(not drag radials) in my LTD, no way I'd be able to get close to this without the controller.

While the controller wasn't cheap, it's worth every penny to me, being able to know when I'm rolling down the highway and put my foot into it, it will go to exactly what I set it to every time is nice. This is the best controller out there for a serious street car IMO. Great product and great customer service, thought I'd give you guys a heads up if you are looking for a true boost per mph controller!

I assume it works off the wastegate. I know I've seen wastegates on blower cars... Not sure about reading into those setups, but I'm sure you could do this to a blower car with a wastegate

I ran a gate on my f1 blower, I pullied the sh-- out of it to max out at a lower rpm as the gate kept the boost down. worked great

What happens if you yank the front tires and the BC sees no mph?

With my car it won't pull the right tire so not worried. For the track you can run the acceleration mode(has accelerometer built into it, this is the mode Larry Larson runs with the controller) and yanking the tires won't matter. On the street most aren't pulling tires or if they are it isnt for long enough to matter.

Very cool. I'd like to figure out how to get one of the front ABS wheel speed sensors communicating with the Holley ECU.

Are you able to use the speed off of the stock computer? I have my speedo working off of the front wheel speed sensor due to having the th400.

I'd bet it would just hold the boost until the tire touches down again.

It should work, the ABS uses the same type of signal as GM VSS. Just fewer pulses per mile.

Post up some specs on the ecu's inputs and outputs available. If it is a fairly typical standalone ecu, it shouldnt be that hard.

Are the ABS sensors on the car Hall or Magnetic ?

You dont need a wastegate. Just a BOV where you can access both sides of the diaphragm. Like a Mondo or BV57.

The Big Red does have a small hole where the bottom side vents, just not figured a way to get access to it for a fitting yet
