Eastern Members - Local stalled auto guys in here

Any local guys that have stalled autos willing to give me a ride in their car? I want to do this 4L80e swap in my car but also want to get a ride in a couple of stalled fbodies to ensure this is what I want.
-I'd prefer if the car was modded to some degree- heads/cam, turbo, etc.
-Also, if the stall speed was somewhere between 3000-3600- i.e. not a 4000+ stall car
My goal would ultimately be a turbo 4L80e car
Let me know what you have. I'm in Aston, PA.

If I wasng 6 hrs away I'd take u for a ride. I have a 3600 stall C/I car on spray.
I'll tell U this driving a stalled auto takes some getting used to. Driving in the city your gas Milage is going to go to shit. Car will drive like normal once the converter locks up.

If you are local, I'd still be down to check it out.

This car is a toy so I'm not totally worried about it being a MPG queen.

There's a weekly cars-n-coffee cruise in West Chester. Would you be willing to meet there?

I had an 04 Gto hci with a 3600 stall. I loved it. Was deff fun. If they made z06 in auto I'd still have a stalled car

I was at a West Chester University meet held by West Chester Motorsports this week and I had a couple of people asking me if I was "White Lightning from TST." Haha. Just figured I'd share because I am local but not a stalled auto! :)

Was that meet in the parking garage across from the Shell station on Wednesday night? If so, I'll prob check that meet out next week. I've recently been posting on TST since there "was" a local meet by my new house which has since died out. I was trying to revive it and came across a few other meets in the area- WC, Broomall, etc.

You serious? The most stall I've heard of on street cars was like a 4500 stall.

Lol yea it's a purpose built car that I drive on street.. But don't be shy with stall, I've setup a few bolt on cars with buddies .. I'd go with a 4k.... :) get it to stick and your gonna be golden..

Cool. Right now the car is heads/cam, probably making somewhere around 420rwhp. I'd be doing this swap more for the future when I'm making more power. I think I'm just over manual transmission cars at this point. If I got a new C6Z, I'd leave something like that manual. But my wallet isn't that deep so that's out of the question.

That would be the one. We usually go to Wing Night at Victory Brewery on Wednesday nights before the meet (half off wings with a beer). I have been seeing a pewter WS6 there with some fatties and a CETA panel. Any idea who that is?
If you're going and/or want to grab some food at Victory let me know and we can meet up before we head over.

Don't know the pewter guy. I'd have to see the car.
I'll let you know about the wings/beer. If not, I'll catch ya at the meet.

I'd give ya ride but I'm not exactly local (though I did used to come down near that area (Cherry Hill NJ) once in a while). :burn:
Also my F-body (3600 stall but only bolt ons) might not be quite as fast as you're looking for.

I'm out near York I got a 3600 circle d in mine with a full bolt on lt1 with a 150 shot. If your in the area ill take you for a ride. When I put my stall in it was like night and day def one of the best mods iv done I also did 3:73 at the same time.

Go bigger or you'll regret it. I went with a 3k in my TBSS and wish I went 3600-4000. Definitely a little different to get used to on the street, but not ridiculous.
I'm sure the 5200 on the street is a bit excessive lol. Probably a blast, though.

He recommended ss 4000 for me and it works great.Locks up at 45 mph and cruises at 2200 at 65 mph with 3:73 in the rear. The car will move at about 1600.

I've had manual cars my entire life. I still have a 6 spd ss, but I will say this. I have a t/a with just bolt ons and spray with a 3600 vig, and I love it, its fun as hell to drive. I also daily it and the gas mileage is still good. I would go auto if you want, mine leaves like an animal on the street. Just my 2 cents.

One thing about big stalls that I didn't know about before buying mine is that you can still very much tune them out to behave very close to stock.
My FTI3600 after many many tuning adjustments (in the part throttle shift and lockup tables) now drives like stock. At light throttle I can get up to highway cruising speeds without going much over 1800rpm, and around town the upshifts are so soon and quick that I can putt around without going over 1500rpms and thus not wake the whole neighborhood and still get probably as good if not better mileage than stock.

Good idea Andy. Get in one and drive it to see if you like it first. Big stalled autos aren't my cup of tea, but if you're chasing a specific et, they are the way to go, I'm just not sure that it's something I would want to live with long term.

That's the plan. The last thing I want is buyers remorse.
