Pontiac GTO 2004-2006 - DiabloSport

SO... before i buy a SLP Custom Tuned DiabloSport II is it worth it with the preset 455 bobcat tune? and how much different does it really make? Please respond to this is you have used this tuner! thanks

I believe the 455 tune is for a ls2 with ls3 heads could be wrong though.

i dont think it requires heads, but i cant really find what the actual 455 tune changes...

Tune is for headers, air filter, UD pulley, 160 TStat, catback and 1.8 rockers.

Pretty sure the still sell the 455 kit on their site :)

I had a 2006 GTO auto and had K&N cai, Kooks l/t headers, Slp loudmouth 2 mufflers and the DiabloSport 455 bobcat package and thats it. I dynoed at 380 rwhp. Not bad at all. Mike @ G-force was pretty impressed and so was I. On street tires(stock ones at that), I ran a 13.0@109 at the track consistently. I raced several ls2 corvettes with full exhaust and beat them on the highway. I would recommend it unless you do a cam and heads.

I also raced a 2000 Camaro SS with full bolt ons, custom tune and cam, and he had a 5 speed manual also. I beat him by a fender from a 30 roll.

DS has pros and cons. The 455 tune is just as good or better than the 93 octane tune of the normal DS. The big pro of the handheld is that you can read and clear trouble codes while also being able to datalog. If you upgrade a lot more, you can try stepping up to the 491 tune or getting a programmer to make a custom tune for you.
