Default shock sensor...safe to unplug?

Hi there,

Here is my problem. I don't have the doors on my car, so I have no way to disable the anti-theft system if it should go off. Would it be safe to unplug the little shock sensor that is located at the back passenger side of the car near the DELCO amp? Or will that trigger the anit-theft system?

Since I don't have the doors....what is a way I can disable the entire anti-theft system so I don't have to worry about it going off someday. I bought the car wrecked so I'm just guessing that to de-activate the alarm when it goes off is to turn the key in the driver door. Does it also de-activate if you put the master key in the ignition cylinder? Car is a '01 Formula. Thanks.

I can't really answer your question with any certainty, except to say that if I unlock and open my door using the key it actually sets off the alarm, as there's no chip in the door key. The only way I know of to turn off the alarm is with the remote, though it is quite possible there's another way I'm simply ignorant of.

Turning the key to the on position will turn off mine.
