Stereo & Electronics - another '99 with fucked up gauges

my gauge cluster cycles and resets the trip meter ALMOST every time i turn on the key. it started a few years ago after i did the engine swap and didn't stop after i installed a new battery. i'm going to clean all the grounds and hope this fixes the problem.... doubt it. i don't really feel like buying a new cluster.

mine started to do it when i got a used cluster cause mine was messed up. mine does not do it every time either, but most of the time it does.

btw, where did you get your FMF pin, what unit?

Sounds like ground to me..

just curious.. If you change your cluster dont you have to take it to the dealer to put your current mileage on the new "used" cluster? JW

We'll see after i clean all the grounds. If that doesn't fix it I'm not replacing it. Not worth the time and money.
