Generation IV Internal Engine - L76 internals ?

i cant seem to find a straight answer

on the bottom end of a L76, once stripping it of all the dod,vvt,afm stuff
is it the same as the Ls2 shortblock
i.e.
the crankshaft
the piston rods
mainly

because when i search the casting numbers they seem to be different, even the rear cover

Rear cover should be the same unless they updated the rear main seal or something like that. Otherwise, internally, they should be the same demensionally.
