Default LQ4 and milled 243's... will tsp v2 fit?

My heads have been ported and valve job'd. my head guy is waiting on me to call him and tell him how much to mill off the heads now.

how far could i go on these heads with the dish piston lq4 6.0 motor?
i wanna run the TSP v2 cam 232/234 .595"/.598"

i've been thinking a .030 would be a little much

I'd go .020, either way you need to measure. I had that cam in my 5.3 with flat top pistons. so I would think you would be fine going .020

Then measure ptv with heads unmilled and after that decide how much you can mill. You will not find your answer on the net; you'll find it on your motor.

No, that is not how it works. To do it right you'll have to install the cam and measure on your motor.
This ain't no Lego set, do it right.

Well ****. I guess I'll order the cam, set it in, measure ptv and add gasket thickness I suppose.

unless you use MLS gasket, then you can actually do a real mock up. I've done it your way when using graphite. (one of the reasons why I like head studs)..

You do know that the dish in a LQ4 are not actually valve reliefs right!

235/243 in a friends lq4 swapped 90's c1500 and the heads are milled .030as well. Matt @ tsp said I'd be able to fit a tsunami as well on the phone. Its not that I don't wanna believe it but I just wanna double check. Unless there's a way to know how far the piston sticks out of the hole im not gonna take a risk like that.. Not calling anyone a liar I just wanna make sure my investment runs good

Not if his **** blows up. Its always easy to risk someone else's engine. Do it right, stick the cam in and measure. The time it takes to make sure its right could save you a big headache later.

I've been running the same setup he is trying to do for the past 2 years!!! I know the risk and its been proven to last (with proper tuning)
