I'm moving to Houston TX soon and was thiking about convert to E85 fuel
What do I all need to convert to E85?
What I need to do to the tune?
my V makes 508rwhp with the help of the procharger,71er injector, racetronix in tank fuel pump. What else do I need to make this happen?

Which pump do you have? 255? You may need a larger pump. Injectors should be sufficient, but again I can't be certain. Beyond that fill the tank and tune it

255 on the fuel pump

Were your injector above 90% DC at the 508rwhp? if so you will need bigger injectors.

Something doesnt make sense if your IDC was at 90% with 71lb injectors, at 500rwhp levels.
Depends how you are running your fuel rails, if you are using a FPR with a return on a boost referenced 1:1, you can maximize pump and injectors. Pumps flow more at a tad lower psi, but the injectors look smaller, its a balancing act.
If its the GSS351 pump, probably wont be enough.
For the tune, if everything is spot on every other table, it should be a simple adjustment of the Stoich AFR table for E85...
your new value will be 9.83305
And now you can add timing... so adjust your high octane table, and enjoy the added power.

you need to first get a bigger fuel pump. maybe a walbro 400 or so.
you will also need much bigger injectors than you may be running now because you will be consuming 30% or more e85 than you do gasoline.
but the gains are awesome in all vehicles that ive hard of lol. my friends evo gain 60whp or so from e85. and i read that its a 80whp gain on the new gt-r's. so i can only imagine what the gains are on a cts-v!
im actually planning on running e85 on my evo8 here in a couple of months!

oh yeah! because e85 is a high octane fuel you can get a bigger pully on you're ooprocharger and run more boost safely!
boost = power
and e85 is like 2.79 here lol its awesome

E85 is definitely in my future as well, but I wanna do it right... Which most likely involves redoing the fuel system with FPR and return along with an appropriate pump or twin pump setup... There is a guy on CF that converted his Maggied LS using a single 255 and 72# injectors, but his pump must be hating life I don't see it happening safely... But I'm not an expert

The biggest advantage is probably being able to add timing, not necessarily boost. I would NOT recommend SMALLER pulley (bigger would mean slower turning head unit = lower boost curve) (as smaller = more boost btw) if lets say, certain mechanical parts were not up for the task. Its dependent on many factors, inducing intercooler capabilities, blower mapping, internal parts and the OPS setup.
But E85 has less energy per mole hence why it takes a shit load more of it. Also means, less energy per amount of fuel, meaning, mileage is actually worse, way worse. So is it really cheaper? Probably not. But extra power is always nice

put a bosch inline with that 255 or upgrade that 255 to a walbro 400.

Only if it was that easy.
What are the dimensions on a walbro 400? I know the one end is much fatter than a 255HP. That would mean, you are now doing some fancy modification to the pump basket, if its even possible.
Have you successfully installed a walbro 400 to a cts-v basket?
There are many threads as to which alternative pumps will work without too much headache, a walbro 400 is not one of them, not out of the question, but just not ideal IMO
255 Walbro OR pn. GSS351 or GSS352 are the same size as the stock pump.

You can also use A Denso 19513-1270 - BUT realize these draw DOUBLE the current.
You can also go with Kyosan 895091-0810 which is a modified Denso (toyota pn 23221-46110 equivalent) Also runs double the current - quiet and is larger so modification of the bucket is a MUST. also flows a hell of a lot 390lph @14V @ 43 psi. hotwire is a must.
Another alternative is a BAP.

I wish e85 were more readily available in my area... I would convert in a heartbeat!

Kroger sell it but it's still hard to find.

Like said, bigger fuel pump no doubt but I think you might be able to get away with the injectors you have depending on just how much timing you add.

I will have to ck my injectors and reading all the post so far I know I will need bigger fuel pump, thanks for all the info guys.l be moving to the southwest side of Houston.I know some gas place have e85

Let me make this disclaimer. I have no practical experience in this and I may be stating the obvious. If so please ignore me.
But just from a basic swap i.e. not for performance benefits just from being able to safely run E85. Aren't there o-rings (within the fuel system/lines) that are supposed to be replaced b/c E85 is more caustic than regular petro? Possibly the stock V already has these synthetic 0-rings/materials. Also for a previous project I was working on my research turned something up about having the tank coated, again to protect against the more caustic fuel, but this was for a 40 year old Datsun tank so maybe this is not an issue for the V ???

Pretty much every gas station in the area of Metro Detroit where I live has E85. I didn't know it was a higher octane fuel. I used to use it on a Dakota flex fuel magnum V8 I had a while back. I never noticed a performance difference, only that the tank emptied sooner.

Its no different than if you ran 105 octane fuel, you have to adjust your timing tables to make use of the extra ability the fuel might allow you.

Sounds like I should look into it. It's super easy to get around here and it's always twenty to thirty cents cheaper than the lowest octane gas the station sells. I paid 4.10 today for 93 octane and E85 was at 3.65.

It burns 30% faster so unless its 30% cheaper you have to decide if the extra power is worth it
NeonRon

It's not 30% cheaper, so unless the power increase is pretty noticeable, it doesn't seem to be worth the trouble. Can the crossover be done with tuning alone, or will parts need to be altered and replaced? Because I have a good friend that does my tuning for next to nothing but if I start adding his "real labor" to a project it becomes a different ball game.

Today's gasoline has up to 10% ethanol in it already, so most modern fuel systems are capable of running E85.
