Default lighting problem

hi,

i have a '98 firebird trans am ws6. today, when i turned on my lights using the headlight switch, i noticed that only the front headlights (hi beam/lo beam) and turn signals work. corner lights, taillamps, fog lamps (including the orange light on the fog lamp switch) and red dashboard lighting do not work. however, when i arm the alarm with the remote, all the lights flash and everything seems fine. what might be the cause??

You'll need a wiring diagram to confirm, but if all the lights function, then it seems reasonable to assume that those power and ground feeds function properly; so - what else is left? The actual light switch, and the lighting (or body) control module - correct?

If the FOB activates all the lights, then I would check the light switch first.
