What's the best way to drain gas tank, without taking it off?

Drill a hole in it lol.. or pull the line off somewhere like the fuel rail or the filter & hotwire the pump. Pump it into a gas can. Hopefully it's not all gummed up by now. I bought a K5 Blazer years ago that had been sitting a few years. I pulled the tank to replace the pump & saw how nasty the inside was. I cleaned/flushed it the best I could but I still had to replace the fuel filter about once a month after that. I should've put a tank on it

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, hot wiring the pump.

I think hotwiring the pump is the easiest way. Here's how I do it..
This is all you will need besides a gas can or 2:

Hotwire is the easiest method. Just make sure you use the correct terminals to jumper the relay. I have seen tons of people jam something in a terminal and wonder why the fuel pump won't come on afterwards.

I have all the wiring out of the car now, but the backend. Fuel pump, tail lts, ect.
I can easily hot wire the pump, just don't want to burn it up.
I should really pull the tank but to damn lazy. I've done everything else to this car but pull the tank.
I'm in the process of putting the car back together now. Got the motor in yesterday, and then while trying to put the trans in, the conveter kept hanging up on the flexplate.
We were TIRED and probably didn't have it line up correctly. I could get the bottom bolts on each side tight, but the converter was hitting the flexplate at the top.
Got a trans jack now, and will try again this afternoon.
I can easily hot wire the pump, just don't want to burn it up.

I don't know if it's the best way but it worked for me! Behave the gauge read 1/4!tank and idle the car over to the muffler shop to finish weld your system and have the tank dry up on you just as you pull away from the muffler shop! Had to walk a block back to my shop for a fresh 5!gallons of fuel, a can of sea foam and Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner!
