Just wondering what website is best and best price to order lowering springs for my 05 V.

I'd start with the Ground Control coilover conversion kit. It's $500. If you want more than that, start saving your pennies--the KW Variant 3 coilover kit costs $2300.

I talked to a number of guys who weren't particularly happy with their ground control kit. They apparently make noises, ride poorly, and also don't adjust enough.
Since you said you were interested in springs on their own, I'll give you my EXPERIENCE. I have the H&R springs and mightymouse spacers for the rear Nivomat shocks. I'm completely happy with them, but they did take a good amount of tinkering to get "just right". That was mainly because I put larger wheels & tires on at the same time as the spring install though. Read threads I started on the topic and you'll learn all you need to know about lowering with springs alone.
In the end I wound up removing the stand-offs from the mightymouse spacers, so now the top bracket sits right on the hole in the frame for the shock absorber. For me, this allows the nivomats to kick in at just the right time, before my tires start rubbing my fenders when I have a lot of weight in the back. With the spacers installed as originally instructed, the nivomats wouldn't kick in at all - they were too "tricked".
I also made little 1/8" thick rubber donuts that I installed on the upper and lower spring perches to raise the rear ride height a bit. I did this to keep my tires off my fenders, but also because I felt that the springs lowered the rear more than the front and it gave the car a "reverse rake" that I didn't like, where the rear appeared to sit lower than the front.
That's all worked out now and I love my setup. Over a year on it and no problems at all.

The Ground Control kit is silent if you install it correctly, and it rides exactly how it should, given the fact that you replaced the OEM progressive springs with stiffer linear springs. You can go as low as you want with the kit, and softer/stiffer springs are easy to order if you want to tweak. From what I hear, the H&R springs commonly fail after about 15k miles, and the ride quality is mushy. The Eibach springs that come with the Ground Control kit have a million mile warranty.

Granted, both the H&R and GC systems are fundamentally flawed because they don't include a set of shocks that were designed with your new spring rate in mind. In summary: H&R < GC < KW Variant 3 < LG (true) Coilovers with Bilstein shocks

There must be some reports out there for Fuzzy to say that, but I can't say I've seen/heard of many H&R sprigs "failing". There are probably just as many reports of Eibachs failing. Plenty of people use H&R. Millions if you look at all makes and models of vehicles with em. "Failures" certainly aren't a common theme when you research the brand in general. I also think the info card that came in the box with my springs stated a lifetime warranty on them.

Oh, and I got the H&R's from tire rack for about $250 if I recall correctly.

I'm gonna look into that Ground Control kit, but I know a lot of guys run the H&R's and I haven't heard anything bad about them yet. thanks a lot guys.

There are no reports of Eibach springs failing. If you Google "H&R" and "fail" you'll find scores of threads discussing sagging springs.

Fuzzy, come on. Just because your google searh doesn't yield you "reports" of Eibach's failing, doesn't mean that it doesn't happen. Realistically h&r and spring are the same product. Each one just utilizes different marketing strategies (aka marketing BS) and different paint colours. It's not like comparing one of those brands to an eBay knock-off brand. H&R and Eibach are both quality brands who put out quality products. And I believe 100% that if you got a little more accurate than google searching and somehow obtained warranty issues / return numbers from each company, they'd be pretty much equal in terms of percentage of warranty claims.

You're unlikely to get a response. Cadzilla has a short fuse--50/50 it was you or me. Personally, I think he thinks this entire conversation is pointless and decided to vent.

Fuzzy, calm down... It was neither of you

Wes, there was some clown trolling last night and I was ribbing him..the mods deleted his posts and yours was above his. I noticed this and changed mine this morning so you wouldn't think it was directed at you.

Carry on

It was actually directed at a spammer who was making posts. I banned him and his posts were deleted.
