Trash 98 PCM & start over?
I went to a local junk yard and got a 98 PCM and harness for $60. I went thru it with the help of this link
http://lt1swap.com/ls1_wiring_harnes...connectors.htm
Today I wanted to start the depin process on the plug to the PCM (Blue/Red plugs)
I can't find any link or chart the shows what to depin on a 98 harness kinda like this one
http://lt1swap.com/99-02_vortec_pcm.htm
Need help on where to go from here. Ether there is a chart out there or trash this and find a 99-02 harness and PCM.
Thanks

Why are you doing a 98? Is this for a LS1 swap or something? Any reason you went with the unique oddball 98?
Just a quick opinion, if I'm hearing you right, I'd just get a 99/up one and sell the 98 one, supposedly your 98 is more rare and should sell for a lot more (for the typical 98 owner who just had his computer cook) than 99/up even though they are less powerful and less flexible.
If you don't specifically NEED a 98, I wouldn't use one, especially if I had to create custom harness because of it.
I bet you could ebay that one even without harness for 150 and buy a better 99/up for under $100 and have the right one to begin with. I think the harness would be different.

The reason why I have a 98 is because when I bought it I was a noob and since my motor was a 98 I thought I needed a 98 harness also due to the fact I got it for $60 PCM and harness seemed like a deal at the time. I guess Im gonna have to buy a 99+. I was hoping I can at still find out that pin out chart to re wire the 98 harness over to 99+
Also yes this is going to be for a swap.
