About how long do y'all think it will take to change lifters? It looks so compact compared to my truck. Its an 04 v. Just trying to see what's all involved.

It will take you less then 5 minutes to replace them, but the prep work to get to that point will take a few hours.
Intake removal, head removal (two) after unbolting headers and everything else attached to them.

That's about what it was for my truck. All that time spent to spend 5 minutes putting lifters in. Thanks for the response.

It's actually not a terrible job, especially if you've pulled heads before. There's plenty of room in the engine bay to get the heads off.

Do you have to pull the power steering pump pulley or is there a way to get those bolts off with doing so.

I pulled the head with the whole PS pump still attached. Just disconnected the hoses.

OK thanks for the advice. I didn't even think about that. Air doesn't get in the lines or anything like that?

I unbolted the PS bracket and let the assembly lean towards the fender.

You'll need to drain the fluid and refill when reassembling. Bleeding the PS system is easy though. Just refill, turn wheel back and forth, top off, done.

You just need to move it forward out of the way.
There is one bolt that will fight removal (is just that way), but no need to drain.

If you do detach the pump from heads and leave attached to PS lines, be very careful (gentle). It's easy to damage the pressure line without knowing it until it leaks while driving.

When I replaced the heads/lifters, I just bungi corded the ps pump out of the way.
You don't have to man handle the removal.
I would be careful removing the driver side head as there is a temp sensor screwed into the side you don't want to bang.
Also, there are several grounds on the rear of the heads you have to unbolt before removal.

Ratcheting wrench on the bottom bolt and done. Then just move out of the way like heavy said.

Alright I got all the grounds already. I pulled the passenger head. All I need is the drivers side. The PS pump held me up and bow im headed to work. Hopefully I'll finish tomorrow and get her buttoned up. The two top bolts for the PS pump I got one off but the other seems to hit the pulley. That's why I was asking

I removed the PS pump from the bracket, then took the bracket off the head. Left the lines attached. I didn't want to risk PS fluid pouring on the alternator (underneath it)

just loosen all the bolts on the ps bracket.. and flop it forward. no need to remove the ps from the bracket or the lines. one or two of the bolts will remain in the bracket as the pulley stop them but they will be out of the head.. easy as cake
