Corvette Performance - C5 headlight cover removal. Help please?

Can any of yall tell me if the PAINTED PORTION of the pop up headlights on a C5 is easily removable? I have some small damage on my pass side that are really about the ONLY paint imperfections on the car and have always wondered if it would be more simple to just R&R the "cover"(so to speak) with a clean one than try to paint match red which has NEVER been sucessful in my experience.

Yessir, that is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Ive had the good fortune of never having to replace any gears or even BULBS in my C5s and wasnt sure if that piece "just came off seperately". Thank you very much!
