Default Coil Pack Plug and Play

Guys, I'm pretty certain I have a bad coil pack. I know it's not the plugs or wires. I can't ever seem to find the time to take the car to a shop so I thought I would just go buy a coil pack and start swapping positions until there is a change. Has anyone else done this? Any pointers? I appreciate any advice.

You should be able to see a difference in 1 plug VS the other 3. I would pull the plugs and see if one will tell you signs of not firing. Might save you the time of the swapping game.

Start the engine when its cold. Let it run for 15 seconds. Feel for the cold pipe. Thats the one NOT firing.

I did this with my 427ci years ago when I suspected a cylinder NOT firing. Found it in 15 seconds.......no tools.

That's a great idea LS6427. I never thought of that. Thanks!
