Street Racing & Kill Stories - 2012 WRX-2 2003 Mach 1- 0

Happened a few weeks ago, just now deciding to post it up on here haha.

'12 WRX:Cobb SF intake, Cobb 93 Tune, shows 17.3 psi on the AP and short throw

'03 Mach 1: Flowmaster catback, O/R x, Intake, 93 tune, Roush Lowering Springs, TKO 600 and Pro 5.0 short throw.

First race, Mach flat out got shit on. They both launched late but the Mach driver got locked out of 2nd for a second then he was fine.

Second race, everything went perfect and the Mach still got beat.

That WRX is a really quick car. Supposed to be going to the track sometime next month to see what it runs. Next time our friend with the Mach is down, there will be a rematch. Mach is getting 31 splines and 4.10s, so it should be really good. Roll and dig races will happen.

Machs don't lose.

Impossibru these machs are easily 120mph cars. OP you probably ran one that had stock gears, rev limit, and full weight. Pssh.

beats the hell outta me... My buddy had the old 35r on his rx7. He currently holds the highest trap speed record on a 2 rotor 35r (132)

yea neither car had a billet wheel so i assume the older one on the wrx. RX7 has a billet 67 on it now. traps 140+ now

haha theres a good chance it may get boosted... but i need to be smart and pay it off first. Im gonna leave the shorties on it and just change to a hi-flow catted x pipe to grab another 10-15whp. Gotta rebuild my trans (hopefully with stronger parts), grab an aluminium flywheel and aluminium driveshaft (yank 50lbs of weight before the rear end), then grab some 18 inch weld rts wheels. Should be right in the 440whp area. If i do decide to boost it, ill have to add another 6k to that bill (6060 magnum swap with 4.56s/4.88s). If i dont boost it... ill change to lightened 3.90s and drilled axles. I wanna take down a stock gt500 N/A. To me thats way cooler then just strapping 10lbs to it.

haha ive seen that... its mental. Ive also seen a little p1 make 650whp on a boss with 7lbs. If i boosted id go with a novi 2200 and 10lbs. Make in the 700whp area on a conservative tune(which is the only tune id ever want)

Im giving up 10hp by not going with the longtubes. And i wont be digging into the motor for any reason.. 440-450whp is plenty of NA power if the car itself is light and setup right. I absolutely love my smooth idle. Having had the big chunky cam idle, im just all set with that.

440whp at 3350 race weight with a bone stock motor that revs 8k with stupid crazy gearing. To me thats a cool car. But thats me..
