Default Help! what i need for LS7 top end on 454

So i have a lsx454 built block and want to do a LS7 top head in an f body. im thinking about going with prc ls7 heads from texas speed for the price or mast motorsports ls7 combo. not sure what i should do yet. what else do i need for the build? i think i need ls7 valve covers, ls7 rockers. i have an ls2 style valley cover(i guess thats fine for the ls7 intake), im going to use afermarket fuel rails b/c i have a aftermarket fuel regulator. i heard something about needing short injectors. im really not sure yet. any help is appriciated. thanks guys

Mast cylinders are very good heads but expensive too , PRC heads are great heads for money

I'm in the same boat as you.

I have a cam/exhaust 454 with a pretty much stock top end and I'm making 565/515 SAE.... Looking to take it to the next level.
I have been considering MAST 275 cathedrals to pick up mid range power. It seems they really don't lose top end either.

What cam are you running?

I could sell you an ls7 top end that made 560rwhp and 530lb of torque in my 2011 camaro.

Stock Cnc ls7 heads 247/252 cam. Titanium valves. Dual springs. Even have a fast intake with a direct port and such. Can even sell with appropriate pushrods and rocker arms and lifters. I really want to do a Solid roller build with some brodix heads.

I'm not sure what the OP ended up song, but being in your shoes, I'd have a hard time passing on PRC 285's with the TI/SS valves. The PRC's perform well especially for the price. Now, money no object? Mast hands down. And if you go Mast in your case I'd go 305's. You've got the bore size to do it.

Money no object? All Pro > Mast. Of course you can go wrong with ported stock castings, although the PRC LS7 is a good head also.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Looking at prices of a complete ls7 top end swap I'm beginning to wonder if its really worth all the extra $$. How much more rwhp & rwtq could I possibly make? I've never had it on a dyno only street tuned. I'm currently running etp 255cc cathedral heads with a 92 intake & tb with this cam 257 265 duration @ .050" .647" .622" lift on a 114 LSA installed on a 112 ICL and kooks 1 7/8 with 3" y to a 3" borla catback.

I'm going from a 245 etp , fast 102/102 tb to Chris Frank RHS ls7 1.26 in./1.60 ex. Mast 4500. 4.185 x 4.1. LSX. Having .750 lift springs installed. Gonna measure and hope I can get close to that. Maybe she'll pick up at least 100 rwhp. Changing headers from 1 7/8 to 2" x 4" with 4" bullets.
