Are you looking at getting tires just for the strip? If so it would be pretty cool to see some 16x9 prostars (I believe the SS are able to fit 16" rims) with some 275 Mickey Thompson ET.

I fit 275/50 on weld 15x8.... But lugs were too short. I don't want to gay extended lugs and I'm waiting for the guy at md performance to see if he can get 2.5 inch shank weld lugs. It looked nuts though.

I didn't know we could fit 15" rims on our cars, but yes you can fit 275's on a 8" rim but you'll get more sidewall bulge which can actually lower tire contact and makes the wider tires useless.

http://i1171.photobucket.com/albums/...9/IMAG2261.jpg. for your viewing pleasure. 15x8 rim 26 inch tire. I believe they're 275s no clearance issues.
