How to tell p1 from d1?

How to tell p1 from d1? If you can't read on the tag because it's scratched how can you tell the two apart?
It's off the car and has a 'AB022A-001' j bracket attached to it
It's 8 rib, seller claims its a d1, just trying to verify.

The easiest way is to take off the front cover. Post a picture of that and it'll be clear as day what it is.
