Default clairify about passive arming...

Ok i searched and read the manual etc but I'm a little unclear. My 96 vette could be armed or disarmed passively by getting close to or leaving the vicinity of the car w the fob.

Can our cars do this too? If I pgm mode 4 (?) then when the cars off it locks 30 secs later or 30 secs after the fob is away from the car.

i really liked the totally passive nature of the vettes system, totally hands off.

Can anyone dumb down our features?

thanks

The F-Body's alarm system is not as sophistocated as the Corvette's system. It does not have a "passive mode" that automatically locks/unlocks the car when you leave/approach.

Yea none of the fbodies came with that system. Infact I think it was only offered on the later C4s.
