ws6 seats are best out of all fbody seats is what I hear so you 'll be fine.
As far as trip, I 'd check up on things like all fluids & condition of your tires and battery.

I used to drive my firebird once a week to my cousin's house. (2hrs away)
Its not that bad.
If I ever got bored or uncomfortable i'd just take the t tops off and it made me smile a lot.
Enjoy your trip!

I agree taking the T-tops off and cranking up the tunes always makes the trip a whole lot better.

I'm 18 as well. I've been making long distance trips (most 5 hours) for about a year. I got my Formula a month and a half ago and have made two 500 mile (250 each way) trips in it to see my girlfriend and it's awesome. So much more fun than my old car. Taking the t-tops off is nice too. Pretty comfy for the most part. Will reach 100 before you know it (you may or may not have already figured that out) so always watch out for the popo when passing a pack of slowpokes.

I have done many 6 to 10 hour trips in my SS and been comfortable the whole way. I just did 3,000 miles on Power Tour and averaged around 22mph. I think these cars are great road trip machines.

There are no WS6 specific seats. The same AQ9 articulating bucket seats (lumbar support option) were offered on base Trans Ams as well. Personally I never found the Trans Am seats to be any better or worse for comfort than the others. They all fit me like a glove.

I've never taken any long road trips with one of these cars, but I have been stuck in several 3-5 hour expressway traffic jams during snow storms.....and my back felt just fine when I got out. I've always found these cars to be very comfortable.

I have taken many trips in my previous Fbodys. Iowa to Ohio and back in my 95 Z28. Colorado to Iowa when I bought my 99 Z28. Numerous other trips in the 4-6 hour range. No big deal at all. I find them to be very comfortable (not everyone does) and had no problems of any kind staying comfortable.

Have fun and be careful!

I love the seats in my TA. I take a trip to my parents's house every once in a while (about 3.5 hours). About half way there if I start getting a little tired I'll switch up the position of the lumbar and side bolsters a bit and that holds me over. Kinda miss my stock springs and shocks on trips like that. My Koni's and Strano Springs are a little harsh on rough roads, it gets old after about an hour or two.

Enjoy your ride!
That's a short trip actually and no concerns unless something is ready to go bad right now anyway, like the original belts or anything original with high mileage. Fuel filter changed recently? Minor stuff like that should be addressed.
I've been driving these F-bodies for 16+ years now and the longest trip I have ever taken was 11 hours straight with just the normal gas station breaks and a lunch. Very comfortable overall even though my back was getting tired towards the end. Probably would have been the same in any car, plus I saw my 18th birthday almost 40 years ago.
