Default Polished my wheels

Hey guys a few weeks ago 2 of my wheels the clear started to bubble and had water pockets when it rained. Got super ugly real quick. So I decided to strip the clear and polish and wax. I could probably do a few more hours of polishing and cleaning but for now im tired. And Im still not sure what to do about the centers. Pics it just rained last night and they look alot better in person.

after

Very nice! I keep saying one of these days I'm going to polish the wheels on the GXP as some of the clear is flaked off in spots. First up is polishing the exhaust tips though since I just had the tips moved out flush with the bumper today (new mufflers!), and they have probably never been cleaned.

Thanks. I used aircraft stripper to remove clear. Mothers metal polish with power ball. And finished with mothers mag and aluminum polish by hand. Took about a hr each wheel. going to do another hr each again this week. And cover it with a wheel wax.

Did you leave the tires on while you sprayed the aircraft remover

My clear is starting to come off on my gxp also, Im afraid of screwing them up by stripping it but im sure thats the only way to do it. Im going to have to try it at some point, detailed instructions would make me feel better :p

I taped off the tires. But the spray was actually nice and precise. I was able to spray the outer lip without even touching the tires. Wait about 10 mins spray it off and used a rag to kinda scrub what didn't come off easy. You can easily do it on the car. If you have access to a power washer I would use it. After all clear is off just go to town polishing. I was going to buy a new wheel but decided to try this on the flaking wheel. And I love the look so I did all 4

I do love gxp wheels. I'm not sure if they are clear coated aluminum like mine. I thought they were chrome
