In a drag race probably a 2-3 mph lead, but in a road race the GT500 would get smashed and I'm not talking by 2 or 3 car lengths. Timed laps at Laguna Seca show this, the GT500 has run a best of 2:18.7 vs the Z06 at 2:14.4, a 4.3 second lead would be a damn slaughter.

you don't buy the GT500 to lap laguna... if you want a road track car you get the Boss (which is faster than a c6z at laguna), this is a dumb comparo.
GT500 was built for cruising and the drag strip.
Your times are off btw, by A LOT.

HAHA!!! BOSS FASTER than a 2012 C6Z06 on a road course lol!! What will the ford beat next the Aerial ATOM on the road course and Venom GT in a drag race.......

Hell, I would bet dollars to dimes a Coil Over/sway bar kit on a STOCK 12 year old C5 would make the '12 Boss work its A$$ off to keep up!

I seriously doubt that. A C6ZO6 goes mid-low 11s pretty dam easy in stock form on stock tires. Pretty good and even race between the 2 cars in stock form but even still I give the edge to the Z06.
I personally want to see the 1LE Camaro lap laguna, reviews so far on other tracks have the car doing better then the Boss which is quite a surprise.

Yeah but the regular Z06 (which they have listed as an 05 though there wasn't one then) went 4sec slower then the Boss 302 Laguna Seca edition and only 1 sec slower then a regular Boss.
