Default 5.3 turbo

I have a silverado 2009 flex fuel with displacement on demand (DD). starting building a turbo kit. Do not know much about the DD. i know that on the tuning has to be disable but not sure if internal parts have to be changed. What would my limitations if just turbo it?
Thanks
Tony

Thanks Chuck but I do know what DOD is and that my truck do have it and that is the only thing will find on that link. I want to know what is going to happen when I boost the sucker with 8-10lbs. Do i have to change lifters, cam, timing chain or what would be the maximum boost i can run with everything stock just by deleting DOD from engine management.
Thanks
Tony

You can disable it in hp tuners from what I have heard. Nothing internally has to be changed to my knowledge.

I would replace all the DOD components with non-DOD components

ive installed maggie and edelbrock supercharger setups on vehicles with dod and they have you replace the valley plate (for clearance reasons) and the new plates dont have provisions for the solenoids. You reuse the gasket and put on the new plate and turn off dod with hp tuners or efi live. Ive never needed to replace any lifters or anything. Id say just turn it off and your good to go

call Vengence Racing or Mast. They should know where the limits are.

you can turbo with it and see how it does, but just be ready to swap it all out, keep the RPM's low and it will survive a while
