Vin change LT1 to LS1 swap My tuner and i tried changing the vin to match the pcm but it would not take (using hp tuners), kept saying invalid entry. What are my options to getting this fixed. The car is a 96' and the pcm a 98'. He told me that it would not work because of the different operating system.

It is possible, but you need to use Efilive or Tunercats
HPTuners won't allow to change VIN to a different platform.
Why didn't you go to a 99+ PCM? it's the same work but its a better PCM
