Shelby GT500 goes down.
Was on 146N at about 7:30 in the morning heading to do some tuning up at some MA shops.
One exit north from my house a red and white mustang gets on in front of me. I see the Shelby spelled out on the back. If not the latest year, it is only a year or so old.
He moves from the on-ramp to the left lane in front of me and then promptly nails it. I was sleeping in 6th and didn't expect him to hit it (its been a slow year). So, it took me a couple seconds to get the car into 4th and to smash the gas. Once done though I was able to catch up fairly quickly. He was doing 110-120 by the time I caught up to his tail.
He slowed down again to 70 mph or so. I thought he was going to move over so we could line up, but he just smashed the gas again. I was waiting in 3rd, so I nailed it. The car spun a smidge and put me right on his ***. He moved to the right while still in it. I shifted to 4th and went by him at a pretty good clip. He was a few cars back when I tried shifting to 5th - to win with some authority - but I missed it a couple times and had to get out of it.
I slowed to like 60 afterwards to get him to come around for a thumbs up, but he just stayed back and took an exit.
So, it was a good kill, but unfortunately I manged to all but roast my reverse gear after missing 5th a couple times - it pops out of reverse now on a 1 year old tranny. Oh well.

Suspension is QA1 on all fours. I run Toyo R888 road race tires on the back to keep the spinning to a minimum. Above 70 deg F 3rd is a dead hook - not so much for 1st and 2nd.
