Default Buying LS1 Advice needed

I found an 01 SOM 6spd SS, looks like its in good shape body wise. It already has a 12bolt rear w/4.11's and a cam, trans was recently rebuilt. The guy said it needs a new torque arm, how hard is the install on that. I looked around online and it looks like they cost anywhere from $200-$500 is that correct? He is asking $9999 OBO what would be a fair price to pay? Also has 101K miles.
Thanks

torque arm wouldn't be bad at all to replace, and you can check them out here!

while you change the torque arm, might as well go a little further and swap the tranny mount to poly if the car doesn't already have one

Ok thanks for the help. What is the main advantage of the adjustable versus the non-adjustable?

Proper pinion angle. If you lower the car you will need to have one thats adjustable but either way I wouldnt buy one that wasnt adjustable. Especially since you got an aftermarket rear.

That sounds like a fair price considering the car is clean, the color, 12 bolt rear & M6, 101k isnt a lot of miles really condition is more important to me but when a seller puts OBO theyre more motivated to sell & are very negotiable on the price. IMO its dumb to put OBO on anything, I wouldnt offer them more than 9k to start.

I'd start negotiating at 8. i think 9999 is a little high for something with that many miles that needs a torque arm. But, I just did a clutch in my car, had to pull the aftermarket torque arm, and it was a pain in the ***, it wasnt hard by any means, but just getting the bracket off on the tranny was a pain because the bolts were so long that the bracket got stuck up against the tranny tunnel. However on my 02 ws6 its a two piece bracket and we got it apart and got the torque arm out of the way.
