bolt on 03 cobra vs bolt on 06 vette
so my buddy bought a stock ls2 vette about a month or so ago and so far he has but long tubes on x pipe with magnaflow mufflers, cai, plugs wires and a 160 t stat. ended up putting down 385rwhp and 373tq they were only able to get 1lb ft of tq off the stock tune. 03 cobra has shorty headers, with 3 inch duals into flowmaster, stage 1 ported blower, 2.8 pulley, cai, ported plenum, etc... these races the cobra gets out on him but u can see the vette start pulling then he lets out vette has 1 passenger cobra doesnt. They raced again a day later with no passengers and the vette won by a car.

what was the outside temps? I'm thinking that cobra was running hot as he should have walked you easily with just a pulley/basic boltons.
Now is the time to tell your buddy all about doing the LS3/L92 head and intake swap over on his LS2. By far the best upgrade you can do to a LS2 powered vehicle: power increase directly equivalent to dropping in 235 AFR heads/FAST intake but for a fraction of the cost (unported heads/intake $1200 with all gaskets needed, $700 more for ported heads/intake and ilifter trunnion upgrade along with LS7 lifters). Just tell him to PM me about how to do it.

a stage 1 ported blower with a 2.8 upper pulley with a factory crank pulley isnt as aggressive as people are making it out to be. Not to mention hes a savagely poor shifter. And there is no mention of the factory x pipe being replaced. Losing the cats on these cars is worth a solid 30whp. But either way. With a full exhaust... thats a 470ishwhp setup for the cobra. Vette is significantly lighter and more aero with a much faster shifter. Seems completely normal to me...

exactly i didnt see anything wrong the reason the vette didnt pull at beginning is becuase he was in 3rd at 60 which isnt that good of a hit. it has a brand new belt on there we just put on a month ago due to the old one snapping. also if he goes up to like 6800rpm the supercharger just hits a wall and falls on his face now he started shifting right before that to keep it goin.
