Default Newbie from Huntsville, Alabama

As the title implies, newbie from Huntsville, Alabama. I've just recently bought a '98 WS6 M6 and figured I'd join LS1tech because of the great community, and the fact that I may have some questions about performance later down the road when I start changing things out. I've got a few pictures below, not too many...

streetrod200, from what I hear Huntsville Engines is really phenomenal. They build a bunch of engines for Nascar and race them and they're known for how much they win races. I was actually talking with my father earlier today and they had a 2000 horsepower track car on the dyno today. Sounds like they do some pretty serious work. If you're looking to tune your car, they might be worth a shot. I think it's about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Montgomery.

geoffrey, I think I saw you around Huntsville a few weeks ago. I know for sure that it was a WS6 that was maroon. It was just past Carmike Cinemas on Old Monrovia Rd. Recall some crazy guy sticking his hand out the window and waving?

there is a guy in lacy springs that is famous around here for tuning lsx cars. lane culver @ culver auto specialties. 256-882-2450.
i had my car tuned (mail order tune) by pcmforless.com and dynoed by trackmasters on commercial dr. my tune was little lean according to a/f reading on dyno so they retuned it, but everybody says lane is the man

Well sir I am afraid that I am not your crazy friend in a maroon TransAm. Up until about 48 hours ago I have been in Afghanistan. But I will be sure to pull my sunset orange metallic ws6 out of storage here in a couple weeks and go wave at every other f body near Carmike Cinemas lol

Welcome to the LS1Tech family! The purple stripes and lettering on your car are pretty unique -- I haven't seen that combination before.

geoffrey,
Couldn't help but laugh when I read the post. In all seriousness, your picture looked kind of like a fire orange slash maroon. With the time of day that it was, the car I'm talking about was maroon. Maroon WS6's aren't something you see a lot. So *shrug* thought it might have been you.

Z28RS,
Thanks man. When I went to go look at the car, I could not tell from the pictures that were posted on Craigslist that the car had purple stripes. Needless to say, I freaked out when I first saw the car. Slowly the color started growing on me and I finally decided to get the car. Kind of glad I did now. The purple Trans Am lettering and purple stripes separate my car from the other WS6's in Huntsville.
