Default First Blown Engine, First Engine Swap

Apparently I can't figure out how to compress water either, because my connecting rod isn't so connected anymore. Just after The Tropical Storm Isaac, I had to use my T/A as transportation and unfortunately, she didn't make it. Sucked up some water through the intake. I originally thought that it soaked the filter and choked out the engine. I pulled the lid and the throttle body was as dry as could be and as far in as i could reach.
Anywho, lesson learned there.
Horrible timing though, I'm pretty broke at the moment.
Picked up a used LS1 from a '99 SS
Enough Words, Here are some pictures.

Dad and I starting to disassemble.

Prepping V6 camaro to be sold later that day to make up for the cost of an engine..

Now I can get underneath to take **** apart.

Started a time lapse way late into it, then the phone died.

This is still undergoing. I'm kinda trying to make it work on a budget. Waiting on parts in the mail, trying to find budget parts too.
This is also my first real engine swap, let alone and LS/K member setup. Hopefully she's back on the road soon!

A little further east than lox, but good guess

Update: Engine and Transmission are now bolted together and to the K member. I'll be putting that all back in the car and finish up between work and school. Soon enough! I miss my car!

Before you think of it.
Don't buy used INTERNALS!!!

And if you get a used FAST take it apart and check for aluminum. A used 90/90 cost me an engine.

Good Luck!

That sucks man. I still don't get how people get water in the intake though. I have drove mine in the rain with a de-baffled hood for over 6yrs now & never even got my filter wet.

She's Alive. Got about 120 Miles on her so far. Running great. Lost an oil Pressure sending unit in the first hour, but showed great until then and runs perfectly.

Finally!

Dang that sucks about the water man! Glad you got her back on the road! On a side note those time lapse videos are awesome! How hard is it to use that app? I have the free one to try it out but it says I gotta have the iOS upgrade, do you need that for the iTimelapse app?

The app isn't too bad to use. It is pretty customiz-able though. I'm not 100% on if you need to upgrade or not. I think the app store will tell you which version you have to have. There are other time lapse apps that are I think easier, but not as controllable.

Hope you find a good one for you.
