Default tbss bolt ons= loss in mpg?? whats going on

I did some bolt ons a few weeks ago in hopes of picking up 1-2 mpg as others have noted seeing with these upgrades. And frankly I was geting bored with the truck so it gave me something to do. Hoowever my gas mileage dropped dramaticly afterwords. First tank I got 11.5 mpg and this tank trying to conserve fuel I have gotten to 12.7. This truck in identical driving for the last 2 yrs always gets 13.6-13.9 in stock form. This is what I am actually calculating also not just what the dash reads (albeit it is usually VERY close) Should also note on this second tank we added 8* of timing in part throttle. Anyone got any tips or tricks? I don't see how less drag and more air are causing a loss in fuel economy.

my tune is 1.68mb and the forum will only allow me to post 1.24mb for a tune?

What tune changes?

Also resonator often is designed to act as open air to the exhaust and acts as part of the tuned exhaust, if you axe that you change the exhaust tuning.

Tune changes could also suck depending on what was done.

My guess is your spark is past MBT and thats the cause of the decrease in Fuel economy, post the tune and I can take a glance, may have it going into PE at light throttle too, many things it could be.

It wont let me post the tune since its 1.68mb and the max is 1.24?? How do I rectify that?

Also dont think it was the resonater as I forgot to mention I did that after the first tank. PE doesnt kick in til 3k rom though I thought on that note.

Did you totally tune it with a wideband, or just add timing? Did you clear the fuel trims out after the mods and log it now to see what they are doing?

on the dyno wot we used a wideband but didnt really do a lot anywhere else. After the first tank I had him look it over and we took it out for about 10 miles logging it and the fuel trims were all within 1% but he made a few adjustments there and added some more timing during part throttle.
