Default San Louis Pass

Has anyone been in a while? I'm going to go down there saturday night to do some fishing but trying to decided what to take.

I'm wanting to take my motorhome depending on how bad the sand is. If it's too bad I will just take the truck.

I went a few weeks ago. The island side was a little loose but 4wd was not needed. Wade fishing sucked ***. I kept stepping into pockets of sea weed buried in the sand and sinking to my my knees in the sand. The lady fish and black tip where biting... I don't like either.

I wouldn't take the motorbike chad. My buddy goes all the time and has a 4wd Cherokee with 33's on it and was pulling everything out lately.

Chad,

I have never been in my motorhome, but my parents have been in their's. They stay at the rv park right on the water...right next to the bridge. They are regular rv rates...maybe $45 tops for the night. They liked it when they stayed.

Be careful if you take the kids. There are a lot of drownings there. Bad currents.

You camp/park on that little island just above the "S".

The sand is always harder on the east side, but there is much less room and can get crowded.

The boys are going to go but they already know they are not allowed in the water.

I think I'm going to just take a ride out there tomorrowto check it out.
