Default LT1 to LS1 Conversion...Low Oil Light?

Im buttoning up the wiring on my LT1-LS1 swap. Trying to figure out a way to get my low oil light to work with the new setup. It appears that the LS1 sent a signal to the instrument cluster through the serial data wire, which wont work with the LT1 cluster.

The low oil level sensor grounds to the brown (signal) wire when oil is low, sending a signal to the PCM. Since this is a basic grounding process, i'm thinking I could splice the LT1 cluster low oil level directly to the brown/signal side of the sensor.

Any thoughts? Has anyone made this happen yet?

Yes that works. That is how the LT1 is wired stock.
