Found this one local for 11500. Going to look at it tomorrow, says its super clean. Arctic white, light gray leather, M6, factory hurst shifter, t tops, ws6. Only mod is slp catback. NADA is 10800, if its as clean as he says is 11500 a good price? It has 68000 miles. All the other clean stock ones I've found around here are 4-20k over nada, I'm not paying that kind of a premium.

If NADA is indeed just $700 from his asking price I wouldn't turn it down if you love the car. Remember to dicker. Very few people pay full asking prices, especially when you are there with cash or certified bank check in hand.
Just for info, you are right, there is NO premium involved for that car with those miles. Good luck!

I would pay 9.5k-10.5k for it .. That price seems fair for those miles and year IMO ..

Unfortunately that was bottom dollar. He started at $12900. I passed on it anyways. I think if I keep my eye out I can get lower mileage for less $$$. These "dreamers" will realize sooner or later that their 2001 WS6 with 38000 miles is not worth $23k afterall. If they want to sell sometime this decade the price will have to come down. Maybe it's just my opinion, but I can't see how they justify these kinds of markups and can't for the life of me figure out what's driving it.

Am I looking in the wrong spots? The local dealers only have auto's currently, and almost everything on autotrader is the overpriced stuff. Ebay seems to be the same way.

Remember that many owners ask high prices, especially at the beginning of their ads. Very few are successful but they try. Watch for the Autotrader 'private party' ads (NOT dealers) that have been posted for many weeks. Those are the cars to pursue as the owners realize they are not going to get their crazy asking price. Offer a fair price using KBB or NADA as reference. That way you are not insulting anyone. If the car you want has very low miles then there are premiums associated with those cars, but reasonable ones, not outrageous like the $23,000 example you cited in your post. Any F-body priced over $20,000 has to have less than 10,000 miles on it. Maybe a 2002 Firehawk or CETA could have slightly more miles if 'one owner' cars and perfect.
Good luck with your search!

** Just a side note: There are sellers out there trying to get 'suckers' to pay extreme top dollar for cars that they actually have no intention of selling. They will sell if they get a 'fish on the line' but they really aren't planning on selling their cars. Evil?? Yes, but it is a reality.
