Ignition Orange Metallic G8 GT Detail I took a week off from work but decided to keep busy rather than sit on my ***. The G8 needed some attention real bad. The paint wasn't too bad but it had a fair amount of swirls and little imperfections that bugged me. I didn't take too many before shots but here was my general process.
- Washed with Dawn to remove any wax
- Clayed the entire car
- Buffed entire car with orange Lake Country Pad, Porter Cable and Menzerna SIP to remove imperfections.
- Buffed with finishing glaze to "jewel" the paint a bit
- Wolfgang Fuzion wax applied to exterior
- Aerospace 303 used on all exterior plastics including front grills, rear GXP valence, and fender wells
- Engine bay cleaned and dressed
I have a few more things to do but overall I'm happy with the results.
