Default Oil capacity

I have an LS1 with an f-body pan in my truck. I had to modify the dipstick to work with my application and really can't check the oil level. So, what is the normal oil capacity with an f-body pan?

I tried a search and couldn't find anything, even though I know this has been covered before.

OK, thanks. My 05 Sierra only uses just over 5 quarts, so I wanted to make sure.

X2
My ls1 with f-body oil pan and a Delco PF61 (long filter) takes 6qt's and my 5.3L LM7 with the truck pan takes the same 6qt's.
