84 chevy truck lsx swap parts list
id like to start a thread to post what you have found that makes this swap easier and potentially cheaper. so far this is what i have
1) fbody headers are a near flawless fit
2)i personally am going to run my th400 and ive found that this guy has explained everything
http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showp...04&postcount=1
3) this adapter will allow you to run an aftermarket oil gauge for the lsx motor
http://www.speedwaymotors.com/LS-Ser...ter,20928.html cost $11
4) i personally am going to make my own motor mounts just because i have the steel a plasma cutter and a drill press. heres a link
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...es-prints.html
I have read that the blazer and sub gas tank are in the rear of the frame this could be a bonus to guys lookin for more traction, I plan to run an efi tank and hopefully get a walbro to work within that fuel tank hat possibly a 255
I would like to find a cheaper alternative to the novak ac relocate system
also more options for gauges. both options ive found on these seem to be expensive and out of my personal budget goal.

3) update cheaper thru summit http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ATM-2268/
On left is oil cooler bypass or right is original oil pressure sender - it was broken anyway. Both drilled and tapped.
If you are running the R4 compressor take a look at this

I have a blazer tank in mine, not the efi tank tho.... had I of known at the time I'd be doin an LS swap. I would've got the 87 tank... the tank is 28"x 28 1/4" x 10" deep. using the stock tanks straps and '86 sending unit, and external whalbro 255 pump....keep in mind I have a raised bed floor, so the tank is mounted up high, and not visible from the rear....also I welded a 2x4"x1/4" across the rear frame rails for some protection.....

I dont know why people keep buying all these adapters for the senders. You can use LSX factory senders to power the gauges, they work off of resistance just like the fbody gauges.....
