So I'm torn between buying a pair of 18 x 10.5s for the rear of my current setup (17"x9.5 black C5 DD), or switchin it up completely w/ a set of 19" staggered Privat wheels off a BMW. (BTW, disregard the tires on the Privat wheels, I would have to get bigger ones, but for reference they are 235 up front, 265 in the back.)


I'm just tired of seeing the same wheels on our cars all the time..
Opinions?

i think chrome would look nice with that color. the BMW style wheels. like the BMW mesh wheels

I've got a SOM WS6 you can see in my sig, it has the 18x10.5 rear and 18x9.5 front. The 18s definitely look better than the 17s especially with the dish rear wheel. I'm on a phone right now but look at my sig and look my name up for threads. The second set of wheels you posted seriously need some bigger tires, the rubber bands just don't cut it. And if you stay with the C5 wheels don't get black again, I just don't think SOM and black go well together.

I don't like black spoke wheels so I definitely vote for different wheels and like mesh wheels on t/a but not feeling those. I never thought black was a good accent color on Som but its also a color that I don't think works with some things that worth with the other . I.e I love my anniversary wheels on white silver black but didn't care for then as much on my Som ss especially compared to my 19" ruff 278s.

Im not a fan of black unless the 18inch black rts, i agree 18s on the front would look worlds better than what ya got, if your going c5dd i would go 18x10.5 all around, they look better that way

If I stay with the C5 DDs, I'm only buying a rear set of wheels and keepin the 17's up front. If I'm gonna spend the money for an enitre set, I'd rather get something different.

They're a good lookin rim IMO.. They look badass on the bmw they're currently on. I really just want something different than every other f-body (vette wheels, ccw, tt2, ruffs, etc).. With a meaty tire on the back, I think it would look pretty mean

What are the widths on the BMW wheels? I really like them, I am also tired of the same wheels on our cars over and over again. CCW's and Fikses looks awesome but its time for a change!

They're Privat Akzent wheels. 19" x 8.5" and 19" x 9.5 w/ 235/265 tires respectively. If I ended up getting them I would probably run a 255 up front and 275 or 285 in the rear. Unfortunately I dont know the offset on the wheels, but they fit damn near perfectly.

Anything black gets lost in the wheel well. Gorgeous car, does need some new wheels.....I am on the fence about these: Forgestar cf5.

I think because the spoke rides right onto the wheel lip, they look bigger than they really are. Here are some '19s' (18 would be perfect).

Thats a great lookin wheel.. I gotta agree on the concave look, I've always liked it especially on exotic cars.. But Im lookin for something with a lip on it.

No doubt.. I'm thinkin a 255/35 up front and and a 285/35 in the rear.

Unfortuantlely I've never been a chrome/bling fan. I guess thats why I've held onto the black wheels for so long, but its time for a change. I think the Privats would be relatively low maintenance since the spokes arent polished.
