224r cam only ls1 Z28 vs 2012 5.0 Mustang GT unkown mods. Who will win? So here in about an hour I'm going to go race a new black 5.0. I do not know his mods, but he beat a blue 5.0 that has intake, tune, and exhaust by about half a car length. Here is the vid of that race.
So basicly I'll be happy to beat him because this will tell me I can beat intake, tune, exhaust 5.0's . I'm not sure if I'll take him or not because the cam hasn't been in long and he will be my first race with it. I'll post the vid as soon as I get back tonight.
Who do you think will when judging by how he beat the intake, tune, exhaust 5.0?
Btw I will not be spraying...

yuck i forgot how shitty those tri-y manifolds sound..such popcorn. On another note. Good luck. In for vid. BTW... those 2 cars looked like they went from a dig.. Is it possibly that the one your racing is stock and he just jumped out hard on the modded one and was being tracked down? Also not all bolt on 5.0s are divided equal... driver is HUGE in these cars. Damn european style v8s

pipe down lol.. and they sound good heading towards you... but after they go by the camera, they have this hollow popcorny sound. I tried so hard to get rid of it and couldnt find the source of the damn annoyance. I grabbed some shorties (so i could run stock cats) and fixed the sound. But it was all temporary since ill be getting longtubes this winter

Well it was pretty clos these things run strong.. I had a passenger and he did not. I also need to raise my shift points because I haven't raised them for the cam yet. I'm only shifting at 6400 rpm.

As expected with your stalled auto you whooped him from a dig lol.
I agree with Evan, driver does make a pretty big difference. He could definitely work on his shifting judging by the first video. Not taking anything away from you though, you pulled him regardless and had a passenger still.
That's a sweet little spot you guys have to run there.

driver matters so much in these cars because they are torqueless compared to the LS powerbands. A slow shift loses a lot more momentum then say an ls3 powerplant.
