Driveline vibration decreases when fuel added?!
I went on a long highway drive and the car increasingly vibrated. I could feel it in the whole car and shifter handle. I would guess driveshaft weight or u-joint.
I filled up the car with gas, and immediately on the highway again the vibration was almost gone?!
It's still there but greatly reduced.
Any ideas?

The seals in the shocks are rubber, which deteriorates over time - so your shocks are probably shot.
The shocks dampen the springs. The less weight is on the springs, the "springier" they will get, and the more out of line the car will go.
You might also have someone drive behind you as you drive down the road and have the problem. If its the shocks, they should be able to see wild motion in the wheels.
