Default New to tuning gm

Hi guys,

Have been on the forum lots looking at posts and it's awesome.

I have an 02 trans am and am looking at putting a rear mount turbo on it.

I just sold my mustang and I had a turbo on it, I tuned it with the delta force software and it was a piece of cake. Just dial in ur fuel trims for ur Maf voltage and away u go.

What I am wondering is about the Maf sensor on the gm's. On my mustang the lightning sensor I had on it was pegging, but I have heard in a couple of forums that you can use the speed density system on the gm's to tune them, does this eliminate the need for a Maf? What is the best software use?

I am planning on running as much boost as is safe, and this seems to be question with a lot of cloudy answers about the ls1 also. Is there anyone that can say what the limit is on the stock internals of these engines? Lots of people say 550 at the tires, but there's also people saying that number was what was thought years ago, and it's actually a lot higher than initially thought.

Ur forum is awesome thanks
