history on the parts
ok a little history on the parts, my next door neighbor was going to use these parts on a 2001 Z28 that he was building but he was killed in IRAQ and his wife let me take them off her hands and has now moved back home to Kansas I think?
1) the heads were hand ported with a hand porting kit that my neighbor used with his dremel, i wouldn't say that the heads have been fully decked but there is definite smoothing on the deck surface, i don't believe there was any machining or milling done since he hand ported them. i will post pics up when i get home from work.
stock 241 heads specs are:
Casting Number 241
Head: 1997+ LS1 5.7 Litre Passenger Car
Material: Aluminimum
Part Number:
12559806 (1997-98) Chambers = 69cc
12559853 (1999-00)
12564241 (2001-03)
Combustion Chamber Volume: 66.67cc
Compression Ratio: 10.1:1
Intake Port Volume: 200cc
Exhaust Port Volume: 70cc
Intake Valve Diameter: 2.00 inches
Exhaust Valve Diameter: 1.55 inches
2) the hotcam is in box, has the stamp on the end and the etching 525 hot cam on the end. i do not know if my neighbor ever used this cam or not but it doesn't look as so.

no big deal
no big deal i ended up getting an 09 G8 GXP with 39k miles for just 19.5k! had to drive 3 hours to buy it but well worth it! and i was told the hotcam will technically fit but not ideal for LS3 engine set up.
