Default Change water pump ??

my 4.8 has 80k miles on it...the water pump on it still feels nice and tight..it may have already been changed but not sure...i already plan on changing out all the gaskets ect since I'm doing a cam swap...would i be ok putting the same water pump back on? not sure of the reliability of the 4.8 LS truck pumps

thanks
Trevor

I don't see too many come in at the shop. I'd just run it unless its hard to change in the car.

If you have the o-ring style gaskets, they can be reused.

Gaskets are known to leak. Id just replace the gaskets and run it, the original pump is probably better quality than an auto parts store replacement.
