Default set-up

ok guys so i decide this coming tax return to do H/C in my trans am, and i was wondering if this is a good set up to run. Looking to get around 400hp to the wheel. Also is my DD. The car is a 2001 trans am A-4/ full exhaust/3200 stall

springs/push-rods/cam - tsp 228r package
oil pump/timing chain/gear - tsp slp package
lifters - tsp ls7 lifters
243 heads P/P
bosch 42lb injectors
asp UP with alternator pully

would this be a good set-up for a DD and will it give me good numbers?

I'd look into a 3600 stall, but other than that it looks good. Should be around 420+ at the wheels. A fast 92 or 102 intake should net you another 20 or so over that.

I would go with the TV2 instead of the 228 since your running a stalled auto. I ran that combo once and liked it alot. Install a set of 3.73 gears installed in the rear and you'll be screaming down the road.

IMO, or the Comp # 54-446-11(232/234 112+2lsa) virtually the same as a TQ v2 w/112lsa; for less $$$ . The 228/228 or a 228/232 is still a good choice you can't go wrong with in a multipurpose car.

I wouldnt go smaller than a 228/228 and probably not any bigger than a 232/234 for a DD fun street car. I would also suggest going with atleast a 3600 converter

The 228R is the biggest I would go on a street car. That cam makes power everywhere. There is no loss of low end power and the car is still streetable.
