Default what do you think? comp suggested 5.3 cam

I've been gathering parts for a turbo 5.3 in my 1966 El Camino that was my highschool hot rod. I've got a low mile 5.3 that I already gapped the rings on, ls9 gaskets, studs, trans will be an auto. No turbo yet, but plan on 2 small ones going to a water to air cooler. I was tempted to just leave the stock cam in it, or possibly a z06 cam. I emailed COMP just to see what they suggested; I told them I would like to primarily run on pump gas, but would put good gas in it and turn it up to around 15 to 18lbs on occasion. The tech guy that got back to me suggested comp cams 54-480-11. Duration @ .050 227/223 Lift is .614/.610 with a 115 LSA. The cost of the cam is $399.98. what do you guys think about that cam? I am also very open to suggestions on turbos choice for twins, I'm not going for a 1000hp, just something budget oriented that spools quick and could get into the 11's or maye even 10's with high boost and traction. Thanks

Ok I guess, yes, probably more like a medium lope (but I have the idle set at 800 rpms). Not sure, this is my first experience with F.I. so I cant provide much of an opinion or advice. Pan/accessories are all f-body

Contact Baker Engineering. They have a few cam options for the 5.3 and will point you in the right direction. I am running one of theirs and I love it.
