What do i need ? LY6 block into ls1 Picked up a new cast block off a mate, turns out its a LY6 block
What do i need that i can't re-use from my LS1 engine to make this work ?
I will be useing the callies 4" crank from my 383 and buying forged pistons and rods.
as far as i can tell i'll need -
LS2 valley plate
Ls2 front cover with cam sensor
cam sensor harness extention
LS2 timing chain set
ls2 knock sensors
knock sensor harness extenion
ARP head studs (same length)
have i missed anything ?

Hi Mate!
I'm building an LY6 for my 04 GTO, I was told to not use the Ls2 knock sensors. Instead relocate the Ls1 knock sensors to the Ls2 knock sensor location.
If I can think of anything else I will let you know.

Do they bolt straight in or do we need to drill out and retap to suit the LS1 sensors ?
