Default 4L60E slips in every gear. Did a pressure test and here are the results...

Here is my original thread that explains the tranny is slipping badly in every gear...

https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...ear-slips.html

So anyway I got the tranny pressure tested and it is as follows...

Park - 60psi
Drive - 65psi
Reverse - 90 psi

If I rev it up in park it shoots to 210psi and then goes back to 60psi when the revs drop back to idle.

Are these numbers normal for a 4L60E? Any ideas? Pump, stater in converter etc???

If those trans pressures are normal I am thinking I need to replace the converter. If they are not normal then built tranny time?

Was the converter. Put in a new one and everything works great now.

No problem. Old one that took a dump was a TCI. The new one is a Vigilante.

Sounds like either the input sprag rolled (happens more so with a single cage unit than a dual cage setup) or there is a cross leak and the forward clutches are burnt? I have seen a broken rear planet cause this too.
