Looking to go 383 or 403...not sure yet. I know tsp has some motors but have heard couple bad stories about motors that came from there.not saying tsp is to blame just rather be safe than sorry.

Every builder around will have a thread or two about a failed engine....you just have to wade through the story and figure out what really happened. We've invested a small fortune to ensure we have the best machines, the best and most experienced folks around to run those machines, etc. The other shops in this country that can and do machine at the level we do charge 2-3 times what we do for the work. From mild to wild, we can build it.

There's a little more detail about what we have and what we do!

Scoggin dickey has short, and longblocks and crate motors. Thompson motorsports (whos price is very attractive) has short and longblocks also.

TSP seems to build a good motor for the price. Vengeance/Proline, Futral, LME, and Lingenfelter all have been doing it for a long time and do a good job.

Erik Koenig @ HKE is probably regarded as the best builder in the LS world.

I had a problem with a TSP motor and they took care of it 110%. Would buy from them again without question (if they would let me ) lol

I'm happy with my TSP shortblock, 5 years, 30K+ miles, zero issues. I can't get the valve stem seals to stay in place to save my life, but the bottom end has been solid!
