New motor assembly....Precautions?

Default New motor assembly....Precautions?

Im going to start assembling my 408 longblock this weekend from scratch. Anything i need to be careful with or do extra to make sure its done right? This is my first motor assembly so i want to make sure its done properly. Thanks!

Pick up tube oring!!! Be positive it's in correctly and not pinched. Obviously make sure your timing is correct etc.

i would really hate to disassemble my motor just for a misplaced o-ring!!!

the block and assembly all came from TSP. its being assembled at a shop nearby.
