difference in new zr1's and old zr1's???
ive always like the zr1's and have been looking for a good set for some time.
found a guy that wants to trade a set of c4 zr1's with tires for the lq4 in my sig.
is there any difference in the newer ones and old ones?
please elaborate?
thanks!

i think all camaro ss came with 17x9.5 zr1s until 2000??? and they switched to 10 spokes? then the late model corvette zr1s came with them and also grand sports i believe

The older ZR-1's look more "square" than the ones that came on later GS C4 and 4th Gen SS. At least that's how it looks to me. You can notice it at the "tips" of the spokes and the edges of the spokes themselves. It just looks like they took the existing wheel and softened up some of the edges. I prefer the later ones.
Looks more round in chrome.
Looks a little more squared in painted form than it does in chrome, but still more round than the old corvette.

There were two different offsets available on the 17x11 wheels - if they came off a ZR1, they'll be 36mm and will stick out (theres a thread in this section with pics) past the quarters. If they came off a Grand Sport, they'll be the 50mm offset that fits well on fbodies
